Personalised nutrition and behaviour-change support for women in mid-life

The Glow Story
Gut Health & Mid-Life Nutrition Support for Women

At Glow Dietetics, our mission is simple: to help women feel well, confident, and supported through mid-life and beyond, using practical, personalised nutrition that fits real life.

Mid-life can bring unexpected changes - digestion feels different, energy dips, weight distribution shifts, and what once “worked” no longer does. These changes are often confusing and frustrating, especially when advice online feels overwhelming or contradictory.

Glow Dietetics was created to offer something different: clear, evidence-based guidance that focuses on what actually works for you.

Where Gut Health Meets Women’s Health

Many women may experience digestive symptoms such as bloating, IBS, reflux, or irregular digestion alongside perimenopause and menopause.

At Glow Dietetics, we take a whole-person approach, supporting both gut health and hormonal health together, rather than treating symptoms in isolation. By addressing digestion, metabolism, and lifestyle as a connected system, women often feel more balanced, energised, and confident in their bodies.

Who Glow Dietetics Is For

Glow Dietetics supports women who are navigating:
-
Perimenopause and menopause-related changes
-
Gut health concerns such as IBS, bloating, or reflux
-
Hormonal and metabolic changes affecting energy, mood, and body composition
-
Chronic conditions including diabetes and high cholesterol
-
Post-surgical or bariatric nutrition needs
-
Nutrition support during GLP-1 use
This is nutrition care that adapts to your life - not rigid plans or unrealistic expectations.

The Glow Philosophy

Glow is about progress, not perfection.
It’s about:
-
Feeling nourished, not restricted
-
Building confidence, not rules
-
Making changes that are realistic and sustainable
-
Supporting your health without adding pressure
Your glow isn’t about appearance, it’s about feeling well from the inside out.
Our Dietitian
Hannah Slattery, Accredited Practising Dietitian

I’m Hannah Slattery, an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with over 14 years’ experience across private practice and private hospital settings. I graduated from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition & Dietetics)(Hons) in 2011.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely alongside gastroenterologists, supporting people with complex digestive conditions and medical nutrition needs. This experience has given me a deep understanding of how gut health impacts the whole body.

Clinical Experience & Expertise

I provide evidence-based nutrition support for:
-
IBS, coeliac disease, reflux, and functional gut disorders
-
Chronic digestive symptoms such as bloating and irregular digestion
-
Pre- and post-bariatric nutrition and post-surgical recovery
-
Chronic disease management
-
Nutrition support during GLP-1 use
-
Malnutrition prevention and recovery
This wide clinical background allows me to support women with complex, overlapping health concerns, particularly during mid-life.

Why I Do This Work

As a woman in my late 30s, I’m thinking proactively about my own health as I move into the next stage of life.

I’m also a mum to three young girls, and my husband works FIFO - so I truly understand how busy and demanding life can be. Most women don’t need more rules, guilt, or complicated advice. They need guidance that fits into real life.

That’s why my work focuses on making nutrition feel achievable, not overwhelming.

My Approach

My approach is grounded in:
-
Counselling skills and behaviour change
-
Compassion, understanding, and zero judgement
-
Personalised strategies based on your goals, lifestyle, and health history
-
Focusing on what will make the biggest difference right now
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all plans. I work alongside you to build habits that support your gut, hormones, and long-term wellbeing.
